Mitchell decided to pursue massage therapy after seeing the benefits of massage throughout his own recovery from a childhood car accident. He graduated from Algonquin College for Massage Therapy in 2016, where took great interest in community outreach programs. These programs included treating people with developmental disabilities, chronic pain, and sports therapy conditions. He has continued to enjoy treating a very diverse clientele with a broad variety of treatment needs and desired clinical outcomes.
Mitchell incorporates a combination of Swedish massage, IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), deep tissue, and joint mobilizations into his practice of relaxation and therapeutic massage. Mitchell also has extensive experience supporting clients in their treatment of both acute and chronic conditions, such as headaches, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and trigger points. Overall, Mitchell combines empathetic listening and clinical assessments to create treatment plans alongside his patients in order to help them reach their wellness goals.
